Charities are being urged to abandon balloon releases in a Twitter a campaign.
CIPFA is launching online training which will help small or medium-sized charities with accounting and reporting requirements for the Charity Commission.
The CIPFA Charity Accounting Toolkit, which launches next month, plans to teach the principles of financial stewardship and improve financial skills.
It was developed by a team of charity accounting experts in conjunction with BPP Learning Media.
CIPFA resources director, Chris Harris, said: “The new CIPFA Charity Accounting Toolkit will be invaluable for smaller charities and it will be of huge help to those people who are becoming involved with charity accounting for the first time."
