A large hospice charity based in Suffolk has changed its visual branding in an effort to unite its sub-brands under one identity.

St Elizabeth Hospice, which runs 36 charity shops, last refreshed its brand in 2015 and has now established its Zest, OneCall, LivingGrief and 565 Service sub-brands, all of which have matching logos as part of the rebrand.

The charity invested £45,000 plus VAT in the initial phases of the rebrand, with another £129,000 set aside as a rollout budget, allocated from designated reserves.

“We are confident that the benefits of a stronger, more unified brand – including increased awareness, deeper engagement, and new fundraising opportunities – will deliver significant long-term value,” said Clare Chater, director of income generation and marketing at the hospice.

“The more support we can attract, the more we can invest in improving and expanding the care and services we provide to our community.”

Chater said the charity engaged with its trustees, volunteers, staff, supporters, and those with lived experience of our care through one-to-one conversations, meetings, workshops, surveys and webinars.

It worked with local brand and marketing agency Spring, with whom it has partnered before.

Chater added: “Our ambitions for the future have grown too, including exciting plans to build an additional hospice facility in Gorleston.

“It felt like the right time to bring everything together under a clear, united identity – one that reflects all the communities we serve and stays true to our hospice values.”

The charity recorded an income of £19.3m and an expenditure of £18.4m in the year to March 2025 and employed 500 people on average.
