Triodos has launched a climate change bond, which will be used exclusively to finance organisations that actively work against the causes of climate change.
Announced to coincide with the Copenhagen Summit, the bond was created in response to customer demand according to Bevis Watts, Triodos Bank’s head of business banking.
“More and more people are concerned about the environment and want to make a real difference by investing their money for their future and the future of the planet,” he said.
The bond, which will have a minimum deposit of £500, is being offered over an interest period of two, three or five years.
