The Charity Commission and OSCR are to host an event in London early next month to launch the findings from a series of SORP roundtable events and examine the consultation on the Future of UK GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
The 4 December event is free to all attendees and will be addressed by Charity Commission chair Andrew Hind, its policy head Ray Jones and the chair of the Accounting Standards Board, Ian Mackintosh (pictured). Mackintosh will address the question ‘Is there a requirement for a charity SORP?’
Professor Noel Hyndman will present the SORP roundtable results on the future reform of charity reporting and accounting, and the event will close with a plenary debate and response charied by Pesh Framjee, special adviser to the CFDG.
All those who took part in the SORP roundtables can obtain a copy of the research findings.
