The Charity Finance Directors' Group has appointed Angela Haines, a former international development and human rights consultant, as its new policy manager.
She returns to the UK having been based in Brussels, where she spent two years working mainly with NGOs on a freelance basis, preceded by an interim role at BOND and two years as EU representative in HelpAge International’s Brussels office.
She also previously worked for Minority Rights Group International in London, was placed in a local women’s NGO in the Dominican Republic by the Catholic Institute for International Relations (now Progressio), and worked on refugee issues in East and Southern Africa with the World University Service (now Education Action).
Haines replaces Ernese Skinner, who has emigrated to Australia.
