Blackbaud has confirmed that it has no plans to introduce its Financial Edge accounting package into the UK.
Speaking exclusively to Charity Finance, Blackbaud president and ceo Marc Chardon, who has been in the post since November 2005, said that while he would review the company’s product range in the UK, an accounting solution wasn’t in the current plan.
Former Microsoft executive Chardon also confirmed he was giving top priority to the appointment of a new managing director for Blackbaud’s UK business. It has been without one for more than a year – a situation which is unsettling for customers. He said that a strong MD with vision and connections was vital to ensure the company’s continued success in the UK.
Nearly a third of respondents to the recent Charity Finance voluntary sector IT survey said they used Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge product as their main fundraising package.
