A recently merged charitable funding infrastructure body has announced a partnership with an impact investing project.
Funders Together, into which grants data charity 360Giving merged earlier this year, will become the fiscal host for the Equality Impact Investing Project (EIIP), meaning it will manage its funds.
EIIP, previously hosted by Social Investment Business, will continue to be guided by its own advisory board.
Ceri Goddard, founder of EIIP, said: “This new arrangement gives EIIP a strong platform for its next phase while preserving the independence and collaborative spirit that have always been central to our work.
“Together with Funders Together and its members, we have an opportunity to better connect those conversations and help build a stronger ecosystem for equality impact finance and social change.”
Also this week, social investment foundation Access announced £500,000 for EIIP with an identical sum going to the Diversity Forum.
The Diversity Forum will focus on embedding equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) across the social investment sector by strengthening accountability, transparency and inclusive practice.
On behalf of the Diversity Forum, Patricia Hamzahee said: “This investment reflects a shared commitment to ensuring that equity, diversity and inclusion remain central to the future of social investment.
“Over the next four years, the Diversity Forum will work with social investors, funders and intermediaries to strengthen accountability, improve representation and help create fairer access to capital for underserved communities.
“We are excited to continue building the infrastructure, relationships and evidence needed to drive long-term systemic change across the sector.”
