Grants data charity 360Giving is becoming part of a new infrastructure body called Funders Together, it was announced this week.
In November, London Funders changed its registered charity name to Funders Together, as it expanded the focus of its work nationally.
This week, Funders Together announced that 360Giving would become part of it, alongside the charity’s continuing London Funders brand as well as Collaboration Circle and the Place-Based Giving Resources Hub.
Former London Funders chief executive James Banks will be CEO of Funders Together while 360Giving leader Tania Cohen will be its associate director.
In a statement, the organisations said the aim of joining forces was to increase impact by pooling their expertise, networks and influence.
They said their shared ambition was to improve the effectiveness of funding through shared knowledge, influencing policy and practice, and collaborative action.
Services and programmes currently provided by Funders Together and 360Giving will continue, they said, including the latter’s GrantNav and UKGrantmaking initiatives.
‘Natural next step’
Fozia Irfan, chair of 360Giving, said: “For us, this is the next natural step in our collective relationship, building on the successful work we have already done together and the impact it has had so far.
“It gives us an opportunity to achieve even more at a time when our work has never been more needed.
“We thank those who have supported 360Giving to get to this point, and the funders who have committed to continue to support 360Giving for this next phase.”
360Giving founder Fran Perrin said: “I’m delighted by this development and look forward to seeing 360Giving’s impact taken to the next level.
