Chief executives

Livability has appointed Helen England as chief executive, a role which she will take on from May. She will succeed Dave Webber who has been the disability charity’s chief executive for six years. She is currently the director of strategy, organisational development and workforce at Devon Partnership NHS Trust and is a trustee of another disability charity, United Response.

She said: "I am excited to be taking up the CEO role at Livability, a charity with such a great story. I’m inspired by its compassionate Christian ethos and its values driven and community minded strategy; tackling isolation, delivering disability services across the UK and working for more connected and livable communities. Together and with the people that use Livability’s services; its staff; supporters and partners, I look forward to working with the charity to achieve real and lasting change."

Finance

Caryl Adams is to become a new project officer at Social Investment Cymru (SIC). She will guide local social enterprises through their applications for social investment.

Non executives

The Wings for Life Spinal Cord Research Foundation has appointed Christian Horner, formula one driver, as a new ambassador.

Hazel Wallace is to become an ambassador for The British Heart Foundation. She is best known for her work as the founder of “The Food Medic” , a media group aimed to educate people about food and health.  A spokesperson for the charity said: “We are incredibly proud to have Hazel as an ambassador for the BHF and believe that together we can continue to raise the profile of our life-saving work.”
