Children's Investment Fund Foundation, Thai Children's Trust and more announce their latest appointments. 

Chief executives

Kate Hampton (pictured) has been appointed as the new chief executive of Children’s Investment Fund Foundation. She will replace Michael Anderson, whose has been chief executive of Ciff for the last two and a half years.

Hampton has worked at Ciff for seven years and, before being promoted to chief executive, was previously the executive director for climate change at the foundation.

Ciff have also made a number of changes to its board of trustees, with Lord Malloch-Brown stepping down as interim chair and rotating off the board after five years as a trustee. Graeme Sweeney will take over as chair of the board when the changes come into effect on 2 March.

Thai Children’s Trust has announced the appointment of Adrian Hatch as its chief executive. Hatch will take up his post on 1 March and replaces Andrew Scadding who has been at the helm of the charity for 17 years.

Hatch joins Thai Children’s Trust from the International Refugee Trust where he has been chief executive for nine years.

Hatch will start his new position with a three-week familiarisation trip to Thailand, travelling to several parts of the country to see the projects currently receiving support from the charity.

Fundraising and communications

Gus Baldwin has been appointed director of external affairs at Bowel Cancer UK and will take up his new role on 29 February.

Baldwin joins the UK’s largest bowel cancer research charity from Leonard Cheshire Disability, where he worked for nine months as its managing director – public affairs and engagement.

As well as working with Leonard Cheshire Disability, Baldwin has also worked for a number of other charities including Mencap and Macmillan Cancer Support, where he worked in the campaigns and public affairs department for nearly ten years.

Finance and operations

The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew has announced the appointment of Sandra Botterell as its new director of marketing and commercial enterprise.

Prior to joining RBG Kew, Botterell was interim director of marketing at the Design Council. Botterell has also worked for Historic Royal Palaces and as commercial director for Royal Museums Greenwich, as well as in the private sector with Premier Inn.
