Raising IT will deliver a grant scheme on behalf of the Nominet Trust which will help charities revamp their websites and raise more money online.

Charities with an income of more than £1m have until 23 September to apply for grants of between £14,400 and £72,000 to cover the technology costs of revamping its website or building a microsite. Raising IT is aiming to fund 25 charities in this round.

Annika Small, chief executive of the Nominet Trust, said: “Digital technology has the potential to transform how charities engage with their beneficiaries, volunteers and donors.”

Raising IT has worked with more than 100 charities including the RSPCA’s Choices site and the RSPB’s Homes for Nature site.

Tom Latchford, founder of Raising IT, said: “For charities disappointed with their web presence, or keen to raise more cash online or though social media, this grant provides the chance for a major revamp, as well the ability to create microsites to support strategic fundraising.”
