The National Audit Office has launched a consultation into the impact of regulation on civil society organisations and businesses.

The consultation is asking for evidence on organisations’ experiences with regulation, including the costs and benefits it has.

It forms part of an ongoing study into reducing regulation, run by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, which aims to reduce the cost of regulation to business by £10bn over the course of this Parliament, following a £10bn reduction between 2010 and 2015.

The consultation is open for submissions until 11 March 2016. Responses will be used to "better understand the nature of regulatory burden and benefits experienced by civil society organisations and other businesses". It will also be used to highlight any issues or concerns over regulation.
