RNIB Scotland, Young Epilepsy and the Dame Kelly Holmes Foundation announce their latest appointments.
Chief executive
Campbell Chalmers has been appointed as the new director of the Royal National Institute of Blind People Scotland.
Chalmers, who takes up his new role today, has worked in the voluntary and healthcare sectors for 30 years. He was previously director for Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland and is a trained disability nurse.
He also served as an advisor for the Scottish Government and was a member of the Heart Disease and Stroke Cross Party Group at the Scottish Parliament.
Fundraising and communication
Young Epilepsy has appointed Vicki Kennedy as director of fundraising and external relations. She joins the national epilepsy charity this week having spent the last five years co-directing the National Lottery Promotions Unit.
Prior to her work in lotteries, Kennedy worked for the Department for Work and Pensions where she advised a number of government ministers and permanent secretaries. She also worked at the Commission for Racial Equality.
Non-executive
Mike Kelly has been appointed chair of the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust. He will take up his role on 1 May 2016.
Kelly brings extensive experience to the role, having worked in both the corporate and voluntary sectors for over 17 years. He was most recently director of corporate responsibility at audit firm KPMG. He was also chair of the Living Wage Foundation, and has been a trustee at numerous charities.
Mike Kelly replaces Dame Kelly Holmes who will take on the role of president from May, having served eight years as chair of the organisation.
