Virgin Money Foundation, Stonewall, Cancer Research UK and more announce their latest appointments.
Chief executive
Nancy Doyle has been appointed as executive director of the Virgin Money Foundation.
Reporting to the board of trustees, Doyle (pictured) will lead the foundation and be responsible for much of its grant giving and sustainable regeneration projects. She will take up her new role in the summer.
Doyle is currently chief executive of Oasis Aquila Housing and is also vice chair of Vonne (Voluntary Organisations Network North East).
The British Science Association has announced that Imran Khan will be stepping down from his role as chief executive.
Khan has been at the organisation for three years. He will take up the role of head of public engagement at the Wellcome Trust in September.
The BSA is now inviting applications for the role of chief executive.
Fundraising and communications
Louise Smith has been appointed as director of fundraising and customer engagement at LGBT charity Stonewall.
Smith joins Stonewall from NSPCC, where she has led the special event fundraising team and sat on its senior volunteer board since 2012. Prior to NSPCC, Smith also held a senior role at the Willow Foundation.
Non executive
Cancer Research UK has appointed Sir Leszek Borysiewicz as the new chair of its board of trustees. Borysiewicz will take up his new role on 1 November 2016.
Borysiewicz is currently vice chancellor of the University of Cambridge. He was awarded a knighthood in 2001 for his work on vaccines for human papillomavirus to prevent cervical cancer.
Lyn Cole, director of Big Lottery Fund, has joined the EY Foundation’s board of trustees.
Cole, who has worked for the Big Lottery Fund and its predecessor bodies since 1998, will take up the role with immediate effect.
Citizens Advice has announced the appointments of Rolande Anderson and Ashok Vaswani to its board of trustees.
Anderson is a lay member of the Bar Standards Board and a governor of London Metropolitan University. Vaswani is chief executive of Barclays UK.
