Cumbria Community Foundation: People Helping People Fund

Grants available: Individuals working with a charitable group can apply for up to £750. Charities and groups with an income of less than £200,000 can apply for up to £10,000.
Deadline to apply: 12pm, 19 September 2025. 
Who is the funding for? Charities and community groups for community development projects in Barrow.
When will you hear back? Not specified, but the community panel will meet in October to decide which projects will be awarded funding. Grants will be expected to be spent by May 2026.

Glasgow City Council: Meanwhile Use Fund

Grants available: Maximum grant available is £20,000 per organisation or community. 
Deadline to apply: Rolling deadline. 
Who is the funding for? Organisations and communities wanting to make use of empty or vacant properties in Glasgow city centre on a short-term basis. The projects for which the space must also meet one or more of the listed criteria specified.

NHS South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board: This Is Us grants

Grants available: Up to £2,000 per organisation, from a pot of £20,000.
Deadline to apply: 15 September 2025. 
Who is the funding for? Voluntary and community groups in the Burngreave, Grimesthorpe, Pitsmoor, and Crabtree areas of Sheffield which develop local activities that improve health, wellbeing, and social connections.

Social Investment Scotland: Social Growth Fund

Grants available: Between £100,000 and £500,000 loans, tailored to an organisation’s plans and financial position.
Deadline to apply: Not specified. 
Who is the funding for? Charities and social enterprises based in Scotland with a “clear social impact at the heart of their mission”. Teams must also be ready to take on repayable finance and grow their operations, as the money is in the form of a loan, and their projects must also meet one or more of the criteria listed on the web page about the scheme.
