Unicef will feature in a fundraising film shown during the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games, featuring Scottish cycling legend Sir Chris Hoy and former Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger.
One billion viewers are expected to tune in for the launch of Glasgow 2014 on 23 July and will be asked to make a donation via text or through the website to the Put Children First appeal.
Glasgow 2014 and the Commonwealth Games Federation announced they were partnering with Unicef in April last year to to raise money for the Children of the Commonwealth Fund in the run up to and during the games.
Ticket applications offered spectators the opportunity to donate £1, £3 or £5 to the children's charity.
The film features Hoy and Scherzinger, along with cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson and Line of Duty actress Keeley Hawes, travelling around different regions of the Commonwealth documenting Unicef's work.
A 90-second trailer, introduced by Sir Chris, has been released to promote the Opening Ceremony film.
