Lloyds Banking Group has launched a new volunteering website, designed to make it easier for community groups to find volunteers.

Eligible charities and community organisations can directly upload their own volunteering opportunities, and the Group’s employees can use the portal to find, organise and manage volunteering teams and projects, and also leave feedback on their experiences.

Paul Turner, Lloyds Banking Group’s community & sustainable business director said: “Lloyds Banking Group has a long tradition of community service. Volunteering is part of the culture of our organisation and something we continually nurture.

"The new site will bring our colleagues and the communities we serve, closer together. We fully appreciate the positive impact our volunteers make to their communities through applying their expertise, time and skills to the most pressing community challenges and societal needs."

In 2012, Lloyds Banking Group invested £85m in UK communities, matching its sum from the previous year.
