Save the Children received more than 115,000 text messages for its Gaza ceasefire petition over three days in January. 

Save the Children received more than 115,000 text messages for its Gaza ceasefire petition over three days in January. The appeal ran under the strapline ‘Stop the suffering’ and appeared in The Guardian, Daily Mail and Sunday Times urging people to take action by texting CEASEFIRE to 81819. Supporters were sent return messages encouraging them to prompt others to text in too. The campaign was run by mobile marketing agency Incentivated.
