A senior executive at charity insurer Ecclesiastical has been appointed as interim chief executive at Cotswold Care Hospice.

Cathy Taylor, managing director of Ecclesiastical’s subsidiary Ansvar Insurance, will share her working time between Eccelsiastical and Cotswold Care while the charity finds a permanent chief executive, at Ecclesiastical's cost.

Cotswold Care Hospice, who has worked with Taylor in the past, approached her about taking up the role. She said: “My role over the coming months will be to support the hospice’s senior management, raise awareness of the charity and ensure we continue to provide our vital services to those who need our help.”

The role will help inform Taylor’s strategic review of the charity sector for Ecclesiastical. Taylor, who has worked at Ecclesiastical for nine years, is reviewing its products and services for the charity sector.
