The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) is fundraising with a prize draw that is offering a chance to name and meet the UK’s youngest polar bear cub.

So far the charity has raised nearly £25,000 since it launched a week ago. For £5 a ticket, supporters can be entered into a prize draw to select the cub’s name and meet the baby polar bear and his mother Victoria.

The winner can bring three people with them to share the experience. Part of the prize includes receiving a two-night stay at Macdonald Aviemore Resort.

The cub is only the second to be born in the UK in the last 25 years. He is three months old, born to mum Victoria and dad Arktos. Public viewing of the cub and his mother is currently closed.

Highland Wildlife Park is currently match-funding the prize entries. At the time of writing, the Crowdfunder has raised £24,185 from over 1,500 supporters.

All funds raised will go towards building Scotland's Wildlife Discovery Centre at Highland Wildlife Park. The centre will be made up of three education hubs and will be designed to engage young people through hands-on experiences of wildlife conservation.

The competition closes for entries next week, at 9am on 17 March.
