Kate Gilmore, the deputy secretary general at Amnesty International, will on Monday take up a position as a consultant at the firm The Management Centre.
Gilmore leaves the human rights organisation after holding her post for a decade and moves to the role of principal management consultant at the firm. Before taking on the position of deputy secretary general at the international organisation, Gilmore had been head of a national branch of Amnesty for four years.
On her appointment Gilmore remarked that charities will have to learn to deal with an ever-increasing pace of change in their own sector and in society as a whole if they are to remain relevant.
