A 60-year-old higher education membership charity has relaunched with a new name this week.
At its leadership conference on Tuesday, the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (AGCAS) changed its name to the Graduate Futures Institute.
As part of the rebrand, it has also published a new website, designed to meet the evolving challenges of the higher education landscape, and visual identity.
The charity said its goal is to create a stronger, more recognisable brand that unites everyone working to improve graduate futures.
Feedback from members and partners during an extensive consultation last year confirmed the need for a refreshed mission and identity, the charity said.
Martin Edmondson, chief executive of Graduate Futures Institute, said: “We are incredibly proud to unveil our new name and identity. Higher education is changing, and so is the careers and employability community.
“Our members told us clearly: this is a broader, more collaborative effort than ever before. Graduate Futures Institute reflects that reality and our ambition to represent everyone shaping graduate success.”
AGCAS was originally called Standing Conference of University Appointments Services before its first rebrand in 1977.
Meanwhile, sector consultancy Civil Society Consulting has also announced a name change to Civil Society Together.
