What's in July 2019's issue of Fundraising Magazine?

01 Jul 2019 In-depth

Following the launch of our #AtWhatCost campaign in May, the cover feature of the July issue takes a close look at the problem of sexual harassment in fundraising. From inappropriate behaviour by donors, as well as by senior members of the sector, to sexual assault and coercion, the anecdotal accounts of sexual harassment are numerous. And with around 45 per cent of respondents to a recent survey saying the have experienced some level of harassment while fundraising, the stats back up the general sense that the problem is hidden in plain sight.

Other features in this issue examine Islamic Relief's Ramadan campaign and the challenges faced by arts organisations in raising funds.

The profile interview is with director of fundraising and external relations at The Lucy Faithfull Foundation Deborah Dennis, who shines light on the difficulties around public fundraising for its preventative work with child sex offenders.
