Assistant chief executive, Victim Support

Susannah Hancock joined Victim Support on 5 September 2011 in the new role of assistant chief executive.

She joined from the Youth Justice Board where she was national head of performance, and boasts extensive experience of strategic development in the youth justice sector. She originally trained and worked as a probation officer in London, before moving on to work in the field of community safety and youth justice, where she worked in a number of south London boroughs leading in the setting up and management of multi-agency youth offending teams.

In 2005 she become the head of London for the Youth Justice Board, leading on the strategic development of youth justice services across the capital.

In 2007 she was seconded into the London Criminal Justice Partnership to work as its director of reducing reoffending, before returning to the YJB in 2009 as national head of performance.

Susannah is one of two assistant chief executives at Victim Support, and her portfolio includes volunteering, business development and quality and performance.
