Who's Who

Any sector is only as good as the people that inhabit it, and civil society boasts a diverse range of talent. According to the Charity Commission, the charity sector employs 754,411 full-time equivalent staff and uses the services of an estimated 2.2 million volunteers, including more than 842,000 trustees, though there are still 21,400 trustee positions unfilled.

This section provides short profiles of some of the individuals who help to make civil society the unique and dynamic sector that it is.
