Sometimes Civil Society Media gets a bit serious. But the thing is, we love penguins. And today is World Penguin Day.

It's actually a great example of how charities can use social media to campaign. If your social media feeds are not full of cute pictures of penguins on this World Penguin Day, then you are most definitely following the wrong people.

Colchester Zoo

Colchester Zoo showed that some things which can be counted count.

 

It’s World Penguin day! Did you know that the Humboldt penguin is named after the strip of water it swims in, the Humboldt Current!? We can identify each individual Humboldt penguin here at Colchester Zoo by the spot patterns on their chests as each one has a unique pattern!  #worldpenguinday
