The Welsh voluntary sector umbrella body, WCVA, recently held its first photography competition for members to celebrate volunteers.
The winner and a selection of others are now on display at the National Waterfront Museum in Swansea until 14 July.
Graham Benfield OBE, chief executive of WCVA said: “We wanted our members to snap their volunteers as they worked at improving the lives of others, or the environment. A fantastic photo can make a huge impact and we want to help the sector make as huge an impact as possible.”
WCVA had more than 30 entries and first prize went to the environmental and conservation education charity Menter Y Felin Uchaf.
Dafydd Davies Hughes, project manager for Menter Y Felin Uchaf said: “We entered this photograph as we think it encapsulates the joy you can feel as a volunteer, knowing that a hard day's work has been successful.”
