Housing and homelessness charity Shelter has produced an animated film to show how quickly people can lose their homes after becoming unemployed, as part of its Save Our Safety Net campaign.

Shelter is calling on people to email Work and Pensions Secretary Iain Duncan Smith and urge him to reverse the government’s decision that will see newly-unemployed people receive a standard rate towards their rent, rather than the full amount for the first 13 weeks.

Using an animated board game to tell Jamie's story, showing how by chance anyone can end up back at the start, the film draws attention to the issue in a clever and informative way.
