NSPCC has launched a new appeal to raise awareness and understanding of abuse among primary school children.

The Now I Know appeal aims to raise £20m to support ChildLine's work arming children with the confidence to talk about abuse, the knowledge to prevent it, and the courage to find help if they ever need it.

In its latest film the charity outlines that an average of two children from every classroom, in every primary school across the UK, suffer from abuse or neglect.

From 2016 ChildLine hopes to visit every one of the UK's 23,600 primary schools with its army of 3,000 volunteers once every two years to deliver workshops to children.

The film closes with a call to action to help raise £20m to fund its work.

Every Friday civilsociety.co.uk features an innovative or effective use of film by a charity. If you would like to draw our attention to your charity's film, or even someone else's please email [email protected]
