Since the first Harlem Shake was posted on 2 February in Australia the craze has spread globally with the original version amassing an enormous 44.9 million views to date. It has since been parodied innumerous times with the Jon Snow Harlem Shake, for the Social Purpose and Time charity, forming one of the latest wave.

At time of publication the Jon Snow Harlem Shake, posted yesterday (11 April) has amassed 13,414 views and no doubt lifted the profile of the small charity founded in 2011. With his irresistible charm, civilsociety.co.uk thinks Channel 4 News presenter Jon Snow's moves are likely to be viewed considerably more in the coming weeks.
