Data Protection Training for Charities

It is important for every charity leader to ensure their organisation is fully compliant with the latest data protection regulations. This half-day course will guide you through the key points to consider and what measures you should have in place. You will also learn how to avoid some common data protection pitfalls.

This course will take place online via Zoom.

    Claire is a Legal Director at VWV who provides advice on all areas of data protection compliance. 
    Claire advises charities on a wide range of issues including data sharing, transparency obligations, marketing and fundraising compliance and data subjects' rights. She has developed data protection documentation for charities, such as, privacy notices and policies. Claire has particular expertise advising on complex subject access requests, for example, in the context of disputes. She has supported charities with their response to data breaches, including, in relation to notifications to the Information Commissioner's Office and assisting with the actions to take following a breach.
    Claire combines technical expertise with strategic advice. She understands the importance of aligning data protection compliance with a charity's wider objectives. Claire has received excellent feedback for her training due to her ability to make complex legal concepts accessible.

Substitution and cancellation policy: On receipt of your booking form, your place is confirmed. Delegate substitutions are allowed. Up to and including 14 days prior to the event, a refund (less a 15% administration fee), or one complimentary transfer to another training date can be issued. Only one complimentary transfer can be issued, no refund will be issued for a cancelled transfer.  Once a transfer has been processed, refund for the original booking will not be issued. Refunds or transfers are not available less than 14 days before the event date. Confirmation of cancellations MUST be in writing and sent or faxed to Civil Society Media at 15 Prescott Place, London, SW4 6BS 020 7819 1200 (fax: 020 7819 1210).
