Belinda Pratten

Charity consultant and chair of Women's Resource Centre

Belinda Pratten is co-founder of Belinda Pratten and Rosie Chapman Associates, an independent consultancy specialising in strategic planning and governance, policy analysis, research and evaluation.

Previously Belinda was head of policy at NCVO, where she led its civil society strategy and set the agenda on a wide range of policy areas, from counter-terrorism to climate change.  She also managed the work of the Funding Commission, setting a ten-year funding agenda for the sector.

Before joining NCVO Belinda was senior lecturer at London Metropolitan University, where she was known for her work on the ‘voice’ role of voluntary organisations (campaigning, advocacy and community development), the subject of her PhD.

Belinda is currently chair of the Women’s Resource Centre and Honorary Research Fellow at the International Centre for Community Development at London Metropolitan University, where she is also a visiting lecturer.
