Prostate Cancer UK, The Donkey Sanctuary and more announce their latest appointments.
Prostate Cancer UK has announced the appointment of Angela Culhane (pictured) as its new chief executive. Culhane has been acting as interim chief executive of the men’s health charity since October 2015.
Culhane has now replaced former Prostate Cancer UK chief executive Owen Sharp, who left that charity last autumn to work with partner charity; the Movember Foundation.
She joined the charity in January 2014 and was previously Prostate Cancer UK’s Director of Finance.
The Donkey Sanctuary has appointed Mike Baker as chief executive. He will take up his new position on 16 May 2016.
Baker joins the charity from World Animal Protection, where he was chief executive for six years.
He replaces David Cook who retired from work, after nine years as chief executive of the charity.
Non executives
The Horse Rangers Association has announced Sheila Bailey as chair of its board of trustees. Bailey has succeeded Richard Bevan in the role, after he left the post in January.
Bailey is currently managing director of brain cancer research charity the Lyla Nsouli Foundation. She was previously chief executive of The Ireland Fund of Great Britain. She’s also a non-executive director of the National Treatment Purchase Fund in Dublin.
Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew has announced the appointments of Liam Dolan and Sue Hartley to its board of trustees.
Dolan is head of the Department of Plant Sciences as the University of Oxford and is an elected Fellow of the Royal Society. Hartley director of the York Environmental Sustainability Institute and was elected president of the British Ecological Society in 2015.
