Ofgem – Energy Redress Scheme


Grants available: A minimum of £20,000.
Deadline to apply: 5pm on 2 December.
Who is the funding for? Community energy groups including charities, co-operatives, community benefit societies and community interest companies. The funding will support projects that help households most at risk from cold homes and high energy bills.
When will you hear back? Within eight to 10 weeks of an application.

Wooden Spoon – Pass the Plate Appeal

Grants available: A minimum of £2,000.
Deadline to apply: Applications taken on a rolling basis.
Who is the funding for? Organisations with pre-existing initiatives in tackling child hunger. Project beneficiaries must be a group. They must be UK-based and support the lives of children and young people disadvantaged physically, mentally and socially.
When will you hear back? Typically within six weeks.

Yusen Logistics and Baltic Apprenticeships – apprenticeships levy transfer

Grants available: £210,000 in total levy funding.
Deadline to apply: On a rolling basis over the next six months.
Who is the funding for? Charities, not-for-profits and NHS bodies. Eligible organisations will be able to claim funding for apprenticeship programmes in areas such as IT support, data analysis and digital marketing, all at no cost.
When will you hear back? The listing does not specify.

Barnet Council – London Resilient Communities

Grants available (two): £500 per charity/ £1,000 per charity
Deadline to apply: 5pm on 10 December.
Who is the funding for? Communities, groups and organisations from voluntary, community and faith sectors. Two grants are available: Develop a Community Emergency Plan (£500) and Become a Community Resilience Hub (£1,000).
When will you hear back? Typically within six weeks of an application.

National Grid – local community funds

Grants available: Up to £20,000 per project.
Deadline to apply: Applications are open but no close date is specified – deadlines may be set locally.
Who is the funding for? Registered charities, not-for-profit companies, community benefit organisations, not-for-profits delivering social, environmental or educational value in North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, East Riding of Yorkshire and County Durham.
When will you hear back? No specific timeframe specified.
