City Bridge Foundation – Communities Building Economic Change

Grants available: Core and flexible five-year grants of £150,000 to £450,000.
Deadline to apply: Noon, 3 November.
Who is the funding for: Organisations with annual income of £50,000 to £1.5m in Greater London rooted in communities experiencing economic injustice, who provide frontline support services, understand the economic system as the cause of the challenges their communities face, and have a track record of working towards longer-term change in one of our three funding priorities.
When will you hear back: Applicants notified whether their application will progress to stage 2 assessment and visits in January 2027. Applicants notified of the outcome 16 March 2027.

Church Urban Fund – Windrush Day Grant Scheme 2027

Grants available: Budget of up to £500,000 available to fund events and projects across the country, for a value of between £5,000 and £25,000.
Deadline to apply: Midnight, 29 October.
Who is the funding for: Organisations including charities, exempt charities, and community interest companies. Administered on behalf of the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, the scheme provides funding to communities looking to commemorate, celebrate and educate about the Windrush Generation and their contribution.
When will you hear back: March 2027

Ofgem Energy – Industry Voluntary Redress Scheme

Grants available: £15m available through six funding streams. Grants start at £20,000 and can cover 100% of project costs with no match funding required.
Deadline to apply: 5pm, 12 October.
Who is the funding for: Charities and community energy groups, including community interest companies, co-operative societies and community benefit societies. Eligible projects include those supporting households most at risk of cold homes and high energy bills, developing innovative domestic energy products and services, and reducing carbon emissions across England, Scotland and Wales.
When will you hear back: 8-10 weeks after application.

National Grid – Community Matters Fund

Grants available: £500,000 available with grants up to £5,000 for registered charities and non-profit companies limited by guarantee, and up to £2,000 for constituted charitable organisations that do not have a charity number.
Deadline to apply: 5pm, 16 October.
Who is the funding for: Community organisations providing practical help, advice and long-term solutions that reduce energy bills and tackle fuel poverty. The programme will prioritise projects serving economically disadvantaged communities and those supporting historically under-represented and marginalised groups. Projects must be delivered, and funding spent by 31 March 2027.
When will you hear back: Mid November.
