Nuffield Foundation – Racial Diversity UK Fund
Grants available: Up to £500,000 for research projects examining racial diversity, inequality and inclusion in the UK. Grants can run from six months to three years.
Deadline to apply: Applications are open with a deadline of 5 October. A second round will open in autumn 2027 on a different theme.
Who is the funding for? Researchers, academics, charities and other organisations working on racial diversity, inequality and inclusion.
When will you hear back? Unspecified but the foundation said it would announce newly-funded projects later this summer.

Centre for Accessible Environments – London Inclusive Communities
Grants available: Support to cover professional access audits, design consultancy and staff training. Centre for Accessible Environments (CAE) is funded by the City Bridge Foundation.
Deadline to apply: Launched today, no specific deadline has been set.
Who is the funding for? Small and medium-sized not-for-profits in London, which include charities, voluntary groups and community interest companies. Eligible organisations must own or lease their building and offer community services.
When will you hear back? CAE will contact organisations that have registered their interest from this month onwards.

Steve Morgan Foundation – regional grants
Grants available: Eight to 10 grants from £250,000 to £500,000 over three years for not-for-profits which deliver systemic change for children, young people and their families.
Deadline to apply: No specific deadline set but organisations have been encouraged to complete the foundation’s eligibility checker online.
Who is the funding for? Not-for-profit organisations with an annual turnover between £300,000 and £5m that operate in Cheshire, Merseyside, North Wales, North Shropshire.
When will you hear back? No specific timeframe set.

BBC – Lifeline appeal
Grants available: Successful charities can broadcast an appeal through the BBC Radio 4 Appeal, BBC Lifeline Appeal, and BBC Children in Need.
Deadline to apply: 4 September for transmission date 1 August 2027 to 24 October 2027.
Who is the funding for? Registered charities working in the UK or internationally, depending on the appeal. Organisations must demonstrate clear impact, strong storytelling potential and the ability to manage a national broadcast-driven fundraising campaign.
When will you hear back? The BBC has said that it may contact applicants for further information within two weeks of the application.

National Grid – Bramford to Twinstead Community Fund
Grants available: Up to £20,000 for projects delivering long-term community benefit in areas surrounding the Bramford to Twinstead Reinforcement in Suffolk and Essex.
Deadline to apply: The first round opened 26 May 2026 and closes 26 June 2026. Applications will be reviewed at a July panel.
Who is the funding for? Registered charities, not-for-profit companies limited by guarantee, community benefit and mutual societies, parish and town councils, parent-teacher associations and “friends of” groups, and other not-for-profits operating for community benefit within the eligible area.
When will you hear back? Decisions will be issued in August.
