Comic Relief

Comic Relief – A Place to Belong: Every Step of the Way

Grants available: Up to £200,000 (£2.8m funding pot) and £450,000 (£1m funding pot).
Deadline to apply: 12 noon on 30 April.
Who is the funding for: In partnership with Omaze, the funding programme has two strands: service delivery and systemic change. The former is for organisations that support young people aged 16-25 who are affected by homelessness in selected UK regions. The latter is for UK organisations with experience advocating for policy change and challenging structural racism in housing and homelessness. Applicants must have annual incomes of between £200,000 and £10m. 
When will you hear back: Shortlisting will be shared in early June. Funding decisions are expected to be announced in late July.

The Grocers’ Charity – various funding programmes

Grants available: One-off grants of up to £5,000.
Deadline to apply: 1 September.
Who is the funding for: Charities with incomes under £500,000 (except medical charities, where the limit is £15m) can apply for funding in the following areas: relief of hardship, children and young people (0-25), elderly, disability and inclusion, health, military, the arts, heritage and environment and conservation. 
When will you hear back: Up to three weeks after the deadline, applicants will receive an email.

Asda Foundation – Local Community Spaces Fund

Grants available: £10,000 to £20,000.
Deadline to apply: 28 April.
Who is the funding for: Charities, community interest companies and community benefit societies can apply for funding to provide community spaces that bring people together, connect communities and address loneliness and isolation. The funding is available for projects that repair and maintain or expand and improve community spaces.  
When will you hear back: Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by 31 August.

UK Youth and Pears Foundation – £10m open grant round

Grants available: Multi-year unrestricted grants equivalent to around 10% of applicants’ annual income.
Deadline to apply: 6 May to submit an expression of interest and 3 June for applications.
Who is the funding for: Small youth and outdoor learning organisations supporting young people across the UK. The three-year fund is open to organisations with an annual income of less than £500,000 and aims to strengthen their financial resilience and capacity. 
When will you hear back: The final decision will be made in August and September.

EN: Communities – Community Foundation Fund

Grants available: Up to £5,000 for equipment and essential items and £25,000 for projects demonstrating greater need and wider community impact.
Deadline to apply: 1 June 2026.
Who is the funding for: Charities and community groups across Yorkshire and Humber, Lincolnshire and Derbyshire. The fund is for projects that aim to reduce poverty and promote healthy living. Priority will be given to inclusive projects that have clear outcomes, strengthen local resilience and deliver tangible impact across communities. Applicants must be registered charities, voluntary groups, social enterprises, co-operatives and unincorporated associations.
When will you hear back: Awards will be announced in the week commencing 26 July.
