Trustees' Week

The Charity Commission and Charity Trustee Networks - now merged with Small Charities Coalition - are joining forces again this year to run Trustees’ Week, set to run from Monday 31 October to Sunday 6 November.

Trustees’ Week 2011 will celebrate the work of existing trustees and try to raise awareness about the benefits of the role to prospective new trustees.

Other organisations that will be involved in the festivities include NCVO, Reach Volunteering, Getting on Board, ICAEW, the National Union of Students and Civil Society Media, through our bi-monthly publication Governance magazine.

This year, the campaign will feature photos and video clips of boards and individual trustees on the Trustees’ Week website, submitted by trustees themselves, alongside short accounts of why they became a trustee and what it’s like.

Last year over 30 events were run all over the UK as part of Trustees’ Week and the website has 21,000 page views.
