The Charity Employees Benevolent Fund has recruited Mike Lake, director general of the English Speaking Union, as chair of its new advisory council.

The advisory council will sit twice a year and provide support and strategic direction to the Fund’s staff and trustees.

Lake will now be approaching other sector leaders to invite them to join him on the advisory council, to “support the development of the Fund and add their weight and expertise to what the team are trying to achieve”.  The first meeting of the council will take place in September at the offices of Sarasin & Partners.
