Liz Monks has left the Alzheimer’s Society as director of fundraising, electing to concentrate on her new family.
The fundraiser, who had previously led Breast Cancer Campaign’s fundraising, took up the role at Alzheimer’s Society in September 2010 but decided late last year to leave the charity in order to concentrate on her home life.
Alzheimer’s Society’s chief executive, Jeremy Hughes, said: “In December Liz announced that she would not be returning from her adoption leave in order to prioritise her new family.
‘We thank Liz for her work and dedication to a cause that means a great deal to her and wish her the best for herself and her family in the future.”
Jon Bodenham, who was recruited as Monks’ adoption leave cover, will act as interim director of fundraising until Alzheimer’s Society can recruit a permanent replacement.
