Homelessness charity Emmaus UK is asking people to send in photos of themselves on their sofa for a new Facebook campaign to encourage people to think about the importance of home.

The Sofa from Home campaign will officially launch on 17 November to coincide with Social Enterprise Day and will raise awareness of the work Emmaus does providing housing for homeless people.

Photos along with a caption of what the sofa means to people are being added to a gallery on the charity’s Facebook page.

Caroline Mead, Emmaus media officer said: “Through Sofa from Home, we’re encouraging people to think about home – and by extension what it’d be like to be without one.”

Social Enterprise Day is part of Global Entrepreneurship week and co-ordinated by Social Enterprise UK to raise the profile of social enterprises across the UK.

Photos of sofas along with a caption should be emailed to [email protected]
