The Electoral Commission has launched an online questionnaire on the Lobbying Act to help it develop guidance.

The Lobbying Act set out new rules for non-party campaigning which will come into force on 19 September 2014.

The Electoral Commission has this week launched a survey which asks stakeholders what they know and what guidance they would like, to help it develop guidance for charities and other campaigners ahead of the general election in 2015.

Questions include:

  • How confident are you that you understand the new rules on non-party campaigning?
  • What kind of campaigning activity are you planning to undertake from September 2014 to May 2015?
  • What information on non-party campaigning would you like in our guidance?

The Electoral Commission published its latest set of guidance for non-party campaigners yesterday.

The deadline to complete the questionnaire is Friday 14 March.
