Financial services firm Deloitte is offering 40 partnerships to charities and social enterprises as part of its ‘One Million Futures’ programme, which will include volunteer support from the company's staff.

The society programme will help charities which work to improve employability, and applicants must show how they can help raise aspirations, improve skills or develop leaders.

Each Deloitte partner will be assigned to one regional office, except for five who will work with the London office. Charities will receive tailored pro bono assistance from Deloitte staff, including support with fundraising. The support will start later this year and continue for three years.

Deloitte said each charity partner will receive “a package of support which includes pro bono, access to our services at a reduced rate, volunteers and fundraising”.

Deloitte said it could not give exact figures about the level of support, because it would be individually designed for each charity, and because this is the first time it has run a programme focused at a regional level.

It said that last year it contributed 40,000 hours of pro bono work and helped charities raise an extra £2m.

Claire Burton, head of corporate responsibility at Deloitte, said: “We have set an ambitious target to focus our efforts on impacting one million futures and we are seeking innovative and exciting new society partners to help us achieve this in the UK.

“We are looking forward to seeing a broad range of organisations apply and working together to really make an impact that matters.”

Applications for the programme are open until midnight on 14 February 2016.
