Civil Society Media is delighted to announce the appointment of Gareth Jones as editor of Charity Finance.
Gareth began his journalism career as a reporter and researcher on Charity Finance, working for its publisher, Civil Society Media, from 2006 until 2013, when he left to study for a Masters in public policy at King’s College London.
After completing his Masters he joined Slack Communications as editorial manager, writing and editing for clients including the Guardian, New Statesman, Wilmington Plc and Charity Finance Group.
Gareth is undoubtedly one of the most experienced, knowledgeable and talented charity finance journalists in the UK, and we are delighted to welcome him back into the fold. He will start at the end of September, taking over as editor from the November issue.
Incumbent Andrew Hind will move into a strategic advisory role at Civil Society Media, joining the new editorial advisory boards for both Charity Finance and Governance magazines and acting as a consultant across all our content streams.
Gareth and Andrew will combine with group editor Tania Mason, Civil Society News editor David Ainsworth and our four-strong reporting team to create the strongest journalism resource covering charity finance issues anywhere in the UK.
