20 Dec 2010 News

Charitable bond issuer Allia is calling for charities to apply to benefit from round two of its new online bonds which will open at the close of its first round in April.

Charitable bond issuer Allia is calling for charities to apply to benefit from round two of its new online bonds which will open at the close of its first round in April.

Rebranding from Citylife in November, the organisation announced a new online bond which uniquely allows investors to subscribe online to invest in the causes they wish to support.

Charities can now apply to be included on the approved list of charities which will benefit from the investments from April next year. Application is open to both large and small charities with no minimum limit to funds raised.

Phil Caroe, chief operating officer at Allia, said: “There are thousands of great organisations across the UK that turn grants and donations into transformed lives. But in current times many are struggling to maintain the same level of income, let alone expand their work. We want to help these organisations raise more funds through our charitable bonds so they can change more lives.”

Organisations applying will have to explain how funds raised would be used and the social outcomes they would expect to achieve.
