British Heart Foundation has published its annual review in a credit card-sized leaflet with an accompanying Google Map on the website.

The review and the map both feature a series of case studies illustrating the charities work in areas such as research, fundraising and community programmes.

Betty McBride, director of policy and communications, said: “We’ve boiled this and all our 2010/11 achievements right down to their essence for our smallest review yet, and focused on the theme of travel to reflect the journeys of our supporters and the BHF as an organisation.

“It seemed only fitting that our review should literally help people on their journeys too, so they all come tucked inside a useful travel card wallet.”

The charity’s income increased by more than £5m to £125.2m this year and it puts this down to its retail business which increased profit by 17 per cent, compensating for a 1 per cent fall in income from fundraising.
