BBC Children in Need’s grant programmes open for application today to organisations supporting disadvantaged children and young people in the UK.

The annual BBC telethon raised £26.8m last year, an increase of more than £400,000 on the night in 2011.

The main grants programme is open to applications for over £10,000. The next deadline is 15th May. The small grants programme is open to applications of £10,000 and under for one year. The next deadline is 1st June, with decisions being made by the beginning of August.
