Martin Birch

Martin Birch joined Christian Aid in 2002 and is the organisation’s associate director of finance and information systems.  He oversees information systems, audits, risk and compliance with legal and other best practice standards.
In addition, he is the company secretary to Christian Aid and its various connected charities and subsidiaries.
Prior to his current position Martin trained as a chartered management accountant and worked for various financial services companies. He moved into the voluntary sector in 1992, working initially at ActionAid before joining Christian Aid.
He is also a non-executive director of the Climate Movement (Stop Climate Chaos).
