Mark Goldring

Mark Goldring joined Mencap as chief executive in November 2008. He started his career as a VSO volunteer teacher in Borneo in 1979, and was that organisation’s chief executive from 1999 until he joined Mencap.

Goldring read law at Oxford and has a Masters in social policy and planning in developing countries from London School of Economics.  He was awarded a CBE in 2008 for services to tackling poverty and disadvantage.
