Charities have been hogging the limelight more and more in recent years as political parties take the sector more seriously, and now it appears the sector’s own satirist is moving up in the world too.
Not content with spoofing Acevo chief executive Stephen Bubb, umbrella aficionado Robin Bogg, allegedly the chief executive of BUBB (the British Umbrella Backing Body) has been turning his attentions to the general election.
This broadening of sights appears to have been successful, with one of Bogg’s Twitter postings being recognised by no lesser institution than The Observer newspaper in its ‘Tweets of the Week’ section on Sunday.
As the picture shows, the tweet’s inclusion means Bogg is rubbing shoulders with the likes of Stephen Fry.
Made during a BBC Question Time discussion of the party leaders’ attitudes to immigration, Bogg's tweet reads: “POLL LATEST: Pots 33%, Kettles 33%, Blacks 33% (1% error margin)”.

I would have considered it more of an honour if the Daily Mail had published it. But then people might have called me boggoted.
